ICFO Spring School on Open-Source Tools for Quantum Science & Technology

The week of 16-20 March 2026, the Master in Quantum Science and Technology Barcelona will organize a Spring School on Open-Source Tools for Quantum Science & Technology, with tutorials, lectures and seminars from researchers from academia and industry. The program will include a 1-day Research Symposium with talks from PhDs and Postdocs from across the Catalonia Quantum Academy community and posters from participating Master’s students.

Following the school, the 360 Quantum CARLA Careers Symposium will offer participants a glimpse of the diverse career paths and job opportunities available in this rapidly advancing field, along with an overview of emerging deep tech trends.

Join us to meet and network with other students, researchers, and professionals in academia and industry making up the rapidly growing quantum community.

The school is organized by ICFO as part of the Master in Quantum Science and Technology Barcelona program, supported by the Catalonia Quantum Academy, TalentQ, and the European project DigiQ.

The Careers Symposium is organised by ICFO within the Quantum Flagship initiative and the 360 CARLA project, in the Quantum Technologies and Communications vertical dedicated to careers in quantum science and technologies, in the framework of the Master in Quantum Science and Technology Barcelona and in collaboration with the European project Digitally Enhanced Quantum Technology Master (DigiQ), and the Catalonia Quantum Academy. The event brings together students and professionals from academia and industry working in quantum science and technology, offering high-quality networking opportunities. Delivered in a hybrid format, the symposium reaches an international audience. CARLA and 360 CARLA are EU projects delivering career development programmes focused on photonics applications. They have worked with over 100 professionals, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, and diversity experts to create high-quality career camps. These activities encourage university students and early-career researchers to pursue careers in Deep Tech fields such as quantum technologies, while offering valuable networking opportunities and insights into the quantum technologies ecosystem.
